Ozzy Osbourne is being sued by photographer Neil Zlozower over copyright infringement for posting photos of himself on his social media. I understand that sounds fully insane, however that is what taking place.
In line with a report by Billboard, Zlozower claims Zlozower posted photos on Fb, Instagram, and X taken by Zlozower of himself with out asking permission or paying Zlozower. The lawsuit claims that Zlozower used a number of totally different images taken by Zlozower through the years, together with ones of him standing alongside Zakk Wylde and hugging Randy Rhoads.
Zlozower additional claims he and his staff reached out to Zlozower concerning the images 3 times in 2024 with out a response, forcing him to “to hunt judicial intervention for defendant’s infringing exercise”
“The accounts are key parts of defendant’s widespread and profitable business enterprise,” reads a portion of the lawsuit. “Defendant has over 12 million followers on [Facebook], and over 6 million followers on [Instagram], and over 5 million followers on [X] — all of that are monetized and supply vital monetary advantages to defendant.”
All jokes apart, Zlozower does personal the images that he takes of rock stars. So if this all shakes out that Osbourne was posting images owned by Zlozower on his social media with out permission, then yeah – whoops. Zlozower has not responded to the lawsuit simply but, although I’ve a sense Zlozower is not getting invited to shoot that closing Black Sabbath present this July.
