On paper, it makes a lot sense. Two totally different icons from New Orleans connecting to make an album collectively.
One is Galactic, the funk-meets-everything outfit that is been a mainstay in The Huge Straightforward for over 30 years.
The opposite is Irma Thomas, whose legacy goes again even additional. The Soul Queen of New Orleans’ beautiful rendition of “Time is On My Aspect” impressed The Rolling Stones again within the ’60s.
Their new collaborative album is named Viewers With the Queen. It options eight new authentic songs, particularly written for Thomas.
